At a special event in New York, Microsoft has officially unveiled a new generation of Surface Pro hybrid tablet, Surface Laptop and Surface Studio all-in-one PC. The company also announced the imminent release of another major update for Windows 10 OS.

Microsoft Surface Pro 6

The updated Surface tablet received the 8th generation Intel Core processors, as well as the black version - the last time the matte black color was offered five years ago when the company released Surface Pro 2.

The company noted that Surface Pro 6 also received an improved cooling system and support for quad-core processors. According to Microsoft, the new tablet surpasses the previous generation Surface Pro by 67%. In addition, the tablet has improved energy saving - on a single battery charge, it can work up to 13.5 hours.

The rest of the device has not changed. It is still equipped with a 12.3-inch display with a resolution of 2736 * 1824 pixels and supports an external keyboard. The tablet will be on sale on October 16 at a price of $ 899.

Surface Laptop 2

The second generation of Surface Laptop replaces the model presented two years ago. Like the updated Surface Pro, the laptop received support for Intel 8th generation chips. Due to this, its productivity has increased by 85%. The base RAM of the laptop has grown from 4 to 8 GB, and the minimum amount of main SSD memory is still 128 GB.

As before, the laptop display has a diagonal of 13.5 inches with a resolution of 2256 * 1504 pixels. The battery life of the laptop is over 14 hours in video mode. Finally, the notebook is still equipped with USB 3.0 and Mini DisplayPort connectors, but, contrary to expectations, it did not receive a USB Type-C port.

Like Surface Pro 6, the new Microsoft laptop will hit the market on October 16th and will be available in black. The most affordable version of it will cost customers $ 999.

 Surface Studio 2

During the event, the company also introduced a new generation of monoblock Surface Studio. The PC, targeted at people of creative professions, got a 28-inch screen with a resolution of 4500 * 3000 pixels, 1 or 2 TB storage, 16 or 32 GB of RAM. Due to the new processors and video cards, the performance of the monoblock increased by 35%, and the performance when working with graphics - by 50%.

Sales of Microsoft Surface Studio 2 will begin on November 15th. The basic version of the monoblock with an Intel Core i7 8th generation processor, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of main memory will cost $ 3,500, reports
