This will be the third concert by the recognized Viennese orchestra at the Center. During previous performances in 2014 and 2016, the Orchestra succeeded in captivating the Azerbaijani audience with diverse repertoire, high professionalism and the overall festive spirit. Both concerts got the full auditorium.
The program of forthcoming show is to include pieces by Johann Strauss, the worldwide renowned Austrian composer, also known as ‘the King of Waltz’, along with classic compositions by Johann Strauss the Senior, Julius Fučík, Josef Strauss, Edward Strauss, and Carl Michael Zeihrer.
The concert will be conducted by Peter Gutt, the Orchestra’s founder and Art Director, who, along with conducting, will also present violin parties.
One of Europe’s recognized orchestras, the Strauss Festival Orchestra enjoys a broad popularity as promoter of Vienna’s deeply rooted musical traditions. Founded in 1978, it won its fame due to extraordinary interpretation of Viennese music and versatile repertoire including compositions by the Strauss dynasty, as well as the leading lights of Viennese operetta.
Peter Gutt, the Orchestra’s founder and Art Director, is a graduate of the Vienna Music Academy followed by three years of classes at the Moscow Conservatoire, the class David Oistrach, a well-known conductor and violinist. Mr.Gutt frequently travels to various countries performing with recognized opera and chamber orchestras and conducting operettas in the world’s leading theatres. Both as a conductor and a violinist he won a tremendous fame throughout the world.
